Supreme Economic Committee of the Southern Transitional Council holds its periodic meeting

The Supreme Economic Committee of the Southern Transitional Council held on Sunday, its periodic meeting headed by Dr. Jamal Mohammad Sorour, Vice Chairman of the Committee.

The meeting reviewed the level of preparations for holding the scientific symposium concerned with discussing the economic situation in the country, and the most prominent economic issues on the scene and its repercussions on the lives of citizens, and the challenges and changes related to the prominent economic issues on the southern arena, in addition to the rest of the arrangements related to communication and preparation for holding this symposium.

The meeting discussed the evaluation of the work of the specialized committees of the Supreme Economic Committee during the last period according to the fields of work related to them, and the activities that they carried out and the level of achievement that these committees have achieved with regard to the tasks assigned to them.

The meeting previewed the most important economic updates in the region, and the current economic deterioration and its repercussions on the economy and people, reviewing the scale of human suffering and the difficult economic conditions that have burdened the citizens and doubled the loads on them.

The meeting was briefed on the latest developments related to the economic situation and its impact on the South and its people, besides it reviewed, discussed the minutes of its previous meeting and approved it.
