The STC Secretary-General attends 11th Batch Graduation Ceremony of Security Belt Forces in the capital, Aden
Mr. Abdul Rahman Jalal Al-Subaihi, the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidium...
A consultative meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, on Tuesday, with the study and training centers and governmental and non-governmental research institutions, with the participation of the two vice-chairmen of the National Assembly, Dr. Anis Loqman, and Mr. Lotfi Shatara, the member of the Council's Presidency.
In his speech at the opening of the meeting, Dr. Loqman, said that this meeting comes within the plan of the Studies and Research Committee of the National Assembly to coordinate work with these centers, to crystallize activities in times of crises, according to the solid studies and research they present on the political, economic and social issues and phenomena that our country is experiencing at this time, which can be supplemented by Decision-makers.
On his part, Mr. Lotfi Shatara pointed out that the south is going through a sensitive and articulated phase and needs everyone to gather, because the issue of the south is the issue of the entire people, stressing that the south "will only come with the cohesion of all of us and our condensation with each other."
In his speech, Shatara stressed the need to pay attention to the south first instead of focusing on regions or governorates, because this is proven in the council’s vision and in its documents for the next state, and there is no need to confirm what is certain.
At the end of the meeting, the discussion was circulated, in which it was agreed on the need to consider with responsibility the centers of scientific studies and research as they are the factory of ideas and planning for what is to come, and then some proposals and research visions were presented that would improve the general situation in the south and raise the political, social and economic level in general.
The meeting came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which is to expand this work to hold another upcoming meeting, including all research centers that did not participate in this meeting, as well as the formation of a coordination committee to coordinate this work, in addition to working to establish a scientific research journal that publishes research and scientific studies that are provided by the centers.
