The Supreme Economic Committee of the Southern Transitional Council held, on Sunday, at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, an extraordinary meeting headed by Dr. Jamal Mohammad Soroor, Vice Chairman of the Committee.
The meeting reviewed the report of the international experts team on the administration of the Central Bank of Yemen related to the Saudi financing mechanism and how to deal with it, and the responses of the Central Bank to the report.
The meeting reviewed a summary of what was contained in the experts' report and the conclusions presented in it regarding financial transfers and the examples contained in the report of the illegally benefiting parties from the Saudi deposit through the Central Bank.
The meeting discussed the implications related to the report of the experts team and its findings on the economic aspect related to the Central Bank and its working mechanism.
At the end of its meeting, the committee approved getting proposals of a number of recommendations regarding taking measures to deal with and address the implications of the report.
