The political department of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council launched, on Tuesday, in Aden the capital, the first session of its first annual meeting, which lasts for three days, to discuss its activities and of the political departments in the executive bodies in the governorates for the whole year, with the participation of all directors of political departments in the executive bodies Governorates.
At the opening of the first session, Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council welcomed the participants, conveying to them the greetings of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, and the Council's negotiating delegation, congratulating them on the victories achieved by the Council at all levels.
Al-Jaadi emphasized that the Council has been able to transfer the issue of the south to regional and international forums and it has become an officially and internationally recognized issue.
Al-Jaadi added: "The political department and the political departments of the executive bodies in the local leaderships in the governorates bear the responsibility of conveying the correct image of the reality of the political victories achieved by the negotiating delegation in Riyadh, and blocking the way for those who practice political belittling and misinformation on the people of the south."
Al-Jaadi praised the permanent and continuous role of the political department in keeping pace with all the various and successive political developments, stressing in the same context the importance of continued work and communication between all political departments in the executive bodies in the governorates and the political department of the General Secretariat.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Bamdhaf, Head of the Political Department, affirmed that the department has taken upon itself the responsibility of accommodating the policy of the Transitional Council and stood in front of various challenges, especially with regard to the issue of the South, the Council’s vision, and the negotiations of the Riyadh Agreement.
The first day of the annual meeting discussed the political reports of the political departments in the governorates and the political vision that will follow the developments of the upcoming political events.
