The General Secretariat discusses level of job discipline and reviews the economic scene

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Monday, its periodic meeting headed by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, the Assistant Secretary-General.

The meeting reviewed a report on the level of job discipline for the employees of the General Secretariat for the month of October 2020, submitted by the Finance and Administration Department, in which the Assistant Secretary-General stressed on the importance of job and national discipline and the evaluation of performance that reflects concern and interest in performing institutional and national tasks.

The meeting also discussed a report on the level of organizational performance of local authorities in the governorates for the month of September 2020, which was postponed from last week's meeting.

In the meeting, the Economic Department presented a report on the economic scene, which reviewed the most prominent economic issues in the governorates of the south and the capital Aden, foremost of which is the problem of electricity and its continued cuts off due to the lack of fuel for power generating stations, in addition to the smuggling of oil derivatives, and the targeting of the capital Aden and the south with drugs, and the delay in paying salaries, and the rise in food prices, as well as the lands domination, and the displaced crisis and its repercussions on the population of Aden the capital, and other economic crises.

In this context, Al-Jaadi stressed on the need to find effective economic solutions and work to overcome crises as required, because the economic battle, is like the military one, requires plans and pressure tools to reach the targeted solutions, stressing on the importance of official economic offices and institutions to play their role and assume the responsibility entrusted to them in this regard. .

The meeting also reviewed a report on the level of performance in the political department of the General Secretariat for the third semester for the period July - September 2020, which reviewed the most important activities and achievements of the department during the third semester.

With regard to developments, the meeting discussed the most important political, economic, security and service issues in the southern arena, as the meeting presented proposals that would overcome difficulties and work to alleviate the suffering of citizens in the capital Aden and the southern governorates.

The meeting reviewed the reports of the activities of the General Secretariat departments during the past week, and reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting.
