Dr. Al-Khubaji receives the German Chargé d'Affairs

Dr. Nasser Mohammad Al-Khobaji, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, received at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, the German Deputy Ambassador and Chargé d'Affairs to the Ambassador, Mr. Jan Croisser.

In the meeting, the two sides reviewed the implementation mechanism of the Riyadh Agreement and the level of progress made in the relevant discussions, and stressed on the need to support the acceleration efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in implementing the agreement, given the importance of this on the course of the comprehensive political process and its impact on the security, political, service and living situation, and touching on the concerns and suffering of the citizens, especially in the liberated southern provinces.

Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji added that the Transitional Council is keen on the effective implementation of the Riyadh Agreement and the mechanism for accelerating it, and that the delegation has provided the countries sponsoring the agreement with all plans, perceptions and data required to form the government, separate the forces in Abyan and transfer them to the fronts, and transfer the military forces outside the capital Aden.

Dr. Al-Khobaji praised the role played by the Arab coalition countries, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, to implement the agreement and to establish security, stability and public tranquility, and to unify efforts in the ranks of the joint Arab project to confront the hostile forces and their local extensions, referring to the efforts and role of the people of the South through effective participation alongside the Arab coalition in the various files throughout the previous stages, stressing that the future of the political process and the chances of its success lie in the realization of the just and legitimate aspirations of the people of the South and their right to determine their fate, which is guaranteed in international covenants, noting to the impossibility of continuing any form of unity.

For his part, the German Chargé d'Affairs to the German Embassy affirmed that his country encourages the continuation of dialogue and the search for political solutions that prevent any military conflict, noting to the need to accelerate the formation of the new government.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Kathiri, member of the Presidency and Deputy Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, member of the Presidency, and member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, the member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, and Mr. Adel Al-Shabhi, representative of the General Department of Foreign Affairs.
