Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, President of the Self-Administration of the South, met on Thursday, at the Assembly’s headquarters with heads and members of southern communities in a number of Arab countries.
In the meeting that included lawyer Niran Sooki, member of the Presidency of the Council and Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Bin Brik welcomed all of the attendees, conveying to them the greetings of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, previewing to them in detail the developments of events in the south in general since the formation of the Southern Transitional Council until the Declaration of Southern Self-Administration.
Major General Bin Brik briefed them on the negotiations that the Negotiating Delegation of the Transitional Council is conducting in Riyadh, and what has been achieved on the ground, the most recent of which was the mass demonstration in Hadramout governorate demanding the implementation of self-administration in it, pointing out that Al-Mahra governorate is also preparing for a massive demonstration in the streets of the governorate demanding the implementation of the self-administration there.
Bin Brik also talked about fighting fronts, especially the fronts of Abyan axis, praising the brave role of the southern armed forces in repelling all attacks, pointing out that this indicates that the people of the south insist on their determination to restore the state of the south in full sovereignty.
Major General Bin Brik added: "We in the Transitional Council and self-administration are moving steadily and successfully at all levels, military, political and economic, as well as service and with a strong will to achieve the requirements of the people of the South."
At the end of the meeting, the President of the Self-Administration entrusted the attendees with the tasks of being ambassadors of the Southern Transitional Council and its self-administration in the southern communities abroad and putting the southern communities in front of all the accomplishments, whether they were service or military, wishing them success in their work.
