Delegation of Transitional Council in Geneva organizes human rights activities coincide with meetings of Human Rights Council

The delegation of the Southern Transitional Council in Geneva organized a number of human rights activities, coincide with holding the 43rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which to start on Monday in Geneva.

The activities include holding a human rights symposium entitled “The Contents of Peace in the Riyadh Agreement”, to which a number of governmental delegations and international organizations will be invited, as well as presenting a documentary film on the southern issue.

In addition to that, the delegation will hold meetings with representatives of a number of international organizations and academic personalities interested in the southern issue, to get them acquainted on the suffering of the people of the South due to Yemeni government's disavowal of its ration and services obligations towards them.

In a clarification statement of the consultant, Abdul-Rahman Al-Musaybali, the representative of the Transitional Council in Geneva, in which he stated that the delegation has a human rights report issued by the Human Rights Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, which includes a set of gross violations committed by the Yemeni government forces against citizens in both Aden and Shabwa governorates, and the Houthi attacks on the governorates of Al-Dhali and Abyan.

Al-Musaybali confirmed that this report will be submitted to the High Commission and will be distributed to the delegations and international organizations participating in this session.

It is worth noting that the Transitional Council delegation inaugurated its activities last Wednesday by holding a number of meetings with the European Union delegation, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and a number of other international bodies in Geneva.
