Transitional Council Presidency discusses arrangements for 3rd session of National Assembly

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting on Sautrday, in Aden the capital, under the chairmanship of President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, and in presence of chairmen of the National Assembly and heads of National Assembly committees to discuss and approve the final arrangements for holding the third session of the National Assembly scheduled in the period (13-15) January 2020.

In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi stressed that chosing this particular date for holding the third session of the National Assembly represents a message of the adherence of the Southern Transitional Council to the principle of southern reconciliation and tolerance, which guarantees  the success of the Transitional Council in uniting the Southerners to achieve the restoration of the complete sovereignty of the southern state.

The President of the Southern Transitional Council stated that the National Assembly of the Transitional Council is the expression of the southern people's will, stressing on the need to raise the results of the session to the level of challenges and difficulties faced by the struggle of the people of the south to achieve their aspirations.

President Al-Zubaidi indicated that the Riyadh agreement represents a political achievement that we will not allow its failure and we will work with the Arab Coalition under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sponsoring the agreement to make it successful.

In the meeting, the chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, reviewed the arrangements made for the third session, the schedule of the meeting, and the topics that the administrative body indicated to present in the session.

The meeting discussed the necessary measures to ensure the success of the third session of the National Assembly.
