The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its weekly meeting on Monday under the chairmanship of Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Jadi, Assistant Secretary General of the Presidency of the Transitional Council.
The meeting reviewed the report of the political department on the political scene, which focused on the developments of signing the Riyadh agreement and its most important aspects and expected impact on the region in general and the south in particular.
In the meeting, Al-Jadi stressed that "The South is the identity that we adhere to, and we have been able to prove ourselves to the regional and international community through our serious stand for our cause and our people against all the obstacles and difficulties until we reached the victory of today represented by our presence in the Agreement of Riyadh and our voice that can be heard now in the United Nations and international forums."
The meeting commended the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for peace, and also appreciated the role of the UAE and all its efforts to find a solution to the crisis in the country.
The meeting also affirmed the confidence in the southern negotiating team in Saudi Arabia and its responsibility to achieve the Transitional Council's objectives on the way to achieving the aspirations of the people of the south in liberation, independence, and restoration of the full sovereign South state.
The meeting reviewed and discussed the reports of the General Secretariat departments and their activities during the past week, and their plans for next week, and the main topics related to the southern community and its interests.
