Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council confirms its commitment to outcomes of Riyadh Agreement

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its weekly meeting on Sunday, under the chairmanship of Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, Acting President of the Council.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment to the outcomes Riyadh Agreement, expressing its thanks and appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this agreement in order to achieve peace, and also appreciating the great role played by UAE.

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council stressed on the need to halt the media and military escalation practiced by the Yemeni government and some of its leaders to provoke regional chaos, calling to abide by the truce to provide the appropriate conditions to start implementing the results of the dialogue.

The meeting praised the role of the southern negotiating team in the dialogue and its results, which ensure the continued presence of the Southern Transitional Council as an active force in all fields, and activate its leadership roles to achieve the objectives and aspirations of the Council and our people in liberation, independence and restoration of the southern state.

The Presidency of the Council stressed on the importance of the unity of the southern row and the support of the people of the South to their leadership for the preservation of the achievements of our people and the sacrifices of our martyrs, in which the delegation adhered to at the dialogue in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and continue to follow the same approach until the restoration of the south to its full sovereign state.
