Shatara meets Deputy Political Advisor of the Office of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen
The member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Lutfi Shatara, met on Thursday Ms. Masaki Watanabe, Deputy Political Adviser of the Office of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen.
In the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Aden the capital and the south in general, and the current steps of the political process, especially the consultations in Jeddah called for by Saudi Arabia.
Shatara expressed satisfaction with the great attention paid by the UN envoy's office to the southern issue and the security situation in Aden the capital, stressing on the need for the UN envoy's office to exert pressure on the so-called legitimate government to release the employees' salaries in a number of government facilities, and not to use the basic services file for political blackmail.
