The Political Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transition Council organized on Monday a consultative meeting for the elite southern intellectuals and politicians, and officials of scientific researches and studies centers, as part of the Department's plans and programs for the second half of 2019.
The Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Transitional Council Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, presented in the meeting the efforts exerted by the Transitional Council during the past period and how dealt with the political files and local conditions with responsibility and wisdom in a way that preserves the unity of the southerners and avoid them falling into the trap of intrigues and conspiracies.
The Secretary-General added that there are parties that tried to raise tensions and create conflicts among the people of the South, but we have been aware and sent to our people messages of peace in which we stressed that the strength of the southerners is in their unity and their weakness comes from their conflict, confirming that the Transitional Council is keen to meet all the southerners for his conviction that the South is for all southerners.
The Head of the Political Department at the General Secretariat, Dr. Khalid Bamadhaf, welcomed the participants, pointing out that the Political Department is holding these meetings to exchange views, knowledge and observations, and to benefit from political analytical readings of the political experts and the men of thought.
The meeting witnessed deep discussions on the political, economic and services files, in which the participants stressed that the Transitional Council has been successful in the past period in dealing with all the files, as being able to prove its ability to carry up the historical responsibility to achieve the aspirations and hopes of the people of the South.
