The General Secretariat of the Transitional Council holds its periodic meeting under the chairmanship of Lamlas

The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council held on Thursday its regular meeting under the chairmanship of the Secretary-General, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas.The meeting reviewed the performance reports of the departments of the General Secretariat during the past week and the implementation of the activities related to each department.The Secretary-General of the Transitional Council stressed in the meeting on the need to preserve the national cohesion, and to confront the provocative campaigns aimed at undermining the struggles of the people of the South, confirming that confronting these campaigns will be only by the real deeds on the ground.The meeting discussed the economic scene in the country through the report of economy from the Economic Department of the Transitional Council that reviewed the situation of the local currency and the unjust rise in market prices, which reflected negatively on the citizens.The meeting praised the efforts made by the Department of Martyrs and Wounded in the Transitional Council to treat the injured within the country or send them abroad, and a summary report presented in the meeting, on the media coverage of the second session of the National Assembly in Hadramout by the different media outlets.The Organizational Department also presented in meeting a detailed report on its work and activities during the last period and its organizational and administrative achievements in that regard.The meeting reviewed the report of the Southern Transitional Council delegation that participated in an international workshop in Tunisia, which included dialogue sessions with the office of the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen. The meeting also discussed a number of subjects related to the updates of the political scene of the country, and issues related to the situation of the homeland and southern citizens.
