Under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Southern Transitional Council, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, the Secretary General of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting on Thursday.

The meeting discussed a number of reports on its agenda related to the Secretary General activities of its departments, in which the Secretary General praised the work progress of the General Secretariat departments during January 2019, especially the success of the group wedding of 50 workers of the cleanness fund with the sponsorship of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, and organized by the Social Affairs department in the General Secretariat.

The meeting also focused with interest on a number of recent events in Aden the capital and other southern provinces, including the deteriorating economic situation and tampering with the capabilities of the South and its institutions such as the failing of the local currency and the fire in Aden refinery.

The heads of the General Secretariat departments also reported on their work plans for the first quarter of February.
