In response to the call of the Southern Transitional Council, thousands of people from Aden gathered at Al-Shaheed Al-Guniadi Square in Kriter from all directorates of the city to support the final statement of the southern transitional council’s presidency, and to denounce the corrupt and humiliating policies of the Yemeni Legitimacy Government against southern people.
In the event, the vice chairman of local leadership of the southern transitional council in Aden, Essam Abdo, delivered a speech appreciating the response of the massive crowds and their support to the transitional council’s presidency as a representative of the southern cause in addition to the message they were sending peacefully and in a civilized manner to the whole world.
With Brass Section Music Bands in front of them, the crowds marched all over the Queen Arwa street as they were yelling with revolutionary slogans and holding banners in support of the final statement. The crowds clearly indicated their confidence in all decisions taken by the transitional council’s leadership for the upcoming political talks.
The crowds also protested against hunger and humiliation policies of the Yemeni Legitimacy government towards southern people as such corrupt policies led to deterioration of national currency and poor living conditions that suffocate ordinary people in the south.
