The Southern Transitional Council strongly condemns the assassination of Sheikh Shooqi Mohammad Komadi, Imam and preacher of al-Towar mosque in the city of al-Mualla who was assassinated in Aden by the hands of treachery and terrorism.
The Southern Transitional Council extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and his relatives, colleagues and loved ones.
The Southern Transitional Council denounces this horrible crime and all the crimes against the sheikhs, preachers, security cadres, military and southern activists. The council calls all the security and intelligence services to assume firmly their assigned duties, hunt down the perpetrators, investigate to reveal the circumstances of these crimes and who's behind them to establish security and stability in the capital Aden.
We also strongly emphasize the need for clear position of all the political and religious forces towards terrorism, instigation against the other and fatwas of takfir (unbelief). the elements that produced many forms of terrorism, such as the ongoing cowardly assassinations committed against all segments of society in the South, since the early nineties of the last century until today.
