Maj. Gen. Ahmed Said Ben Brik Meets the ICRC delegation



  President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council Major General Ahmed Said Ben Brik met this morning the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Yemen, Alexander Feit and the accompanying delegation.

  Maj. Gen. Ben Brik welcomed the ICRC delegation and conveyed to them the greetings of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Maj. Gen. Aidroos Al-Zubaidi.

  The meeting discussed the health services provided by the Red Cross and the recent incidents in the capital Aden.

  The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Yemen got informed by Maj. Gen. Ben Brik on the incidents that hit the capital Aden and the southern governorates by Ben Dagher's corrupt government that cracked down on peaceful demonstrators, cut off the roads, abducted citizens from the streets and neighborhoods of the capital of Aden and violated the rights of the southern people to express their opinion.

  He said security forces led by Maj. Gen. Shalal, the security belt and the southern resistance forces intervened when some camps of the presidential guard cut off the roads, abducted and beat up citizens in the streets and entrances of the capital and shot down people with medium and heavy weapons killing innocents in their homes.

  He also gave a detailed explanation of the role of the Southern Transition Council in the establishing the National Assembly which consisted of 303 members in addition to establishing centers, departments and local headquarters in all the southern governorates and districts.
