Little Aden Celebrates the October Revolution

Al-Briqa hosted a maritime festival on Thursday morning to commemorate the 54th anniversary of the glorious 14 October Revolution . The national southern flags adorned the neighborhoods and streets of Little Aden and the crowds flocked to the event site  Kod Alnamer Beach (Tiger Bay ) chanting revolutionary slogans  which reflect the southern people's will and their determination to complete the revolution path until gaining the full independence .

The maritime festival started with a variety of creative works such as the revolutionary musical pieces played by the marching band and maritime and folkloric dances presented by popular groups in a perfect way to combine arts with nautical sports . The maritime festival consisted of swimming competitions and boat race .

The event was attended by the members of the Southern Transitional Council Presidency : Amin Saleh Head of the Regulatory Department , Dr. Suheir Ali Ahmed Head of Legal Department , Aqil Al-Attas Head of the Department of Mass Action , General Saleh Zangul, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Public Events and Celebrations , Brigadier General Munir al-Mashali (Abu al-Yamamah) Commander of the First Brigade Forces and a number of southern leaders and citizens .
