STC Department of Rights and Freedoms Meets a Number of Detainees in Abyan

Head of the STC Department of Rights and Freedoms Nayran Hassan Souki met this morning in Zinjibar, Abyan province with a number of people who were subjected to arbitrary detention by pro-government militias in Zinjibar city for opposing an activity to mark the anniversary of the 26th of September in Al-Shuhada Stadium in presence of the prime minister of the yemeni occupation Ahmed Obaid Bin Dajr .

The team of Rights and Freedoms Department got acquainted with the violations and abuses they had been subjected to by the pro-government militias such as beating with rifle butts and bamboo sticks in addition to imprisonment and detention .

Head of the STC Department of Rights and Freedoms documented the incident affirming that what happened was unacceptable and regrettable behavior to targeting active symbols of the Southern Revolution and its valiant resistance .
