The Southern Transitional Council Rejects the Return of Northern Military Units to the South

Member of Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and the

Council spokesman Salem Thabet Al Awlaki, confirmed that the council

rejects any return of northern military units to Aden and to the South in

general, adding that such a move will be affronted by the free will of the

Southern people . The people of the South will reject it as they did before with

the Houthi militias and Saleh's invading forces. He made it clear that the

elite and the Security Forces Belt  achieved the success that the pro-

Yemeni legitimacy military divisions, security apparatus and special

forces could not do .

This confirmation was the response  of the council statement on the recent statement

Aired by the  Yemeni prime minister Ahmed Obeid bin Dajr concerning the

return of northern military forces to Aden , Hadhramaut and the other

southern regions .

The statement said:

There are two ways that the premier Ahmed bin Dagher see them as

one , not for political blindness but because he sees the word from his

own angle , for him , all the roads lead to Sana'a .

That's why he doesn't find that liberating Sana'a and the other Yemeni

regions is a priority and has advantage on taking Aden and the other

Southern regions back to the Bab Al-Yemen  once again ( meaning to the rule of sanaa). Because bin Dagher does not consider what happened in the South in 2015 as a liberation war ,for him it's only clashes with the Houthis  , ignoring the truth that the Houthi was fighting side by side with the pro Saleh Yemeni army brigades .

The Southern Transitional Council strongly expresses:

1- it's rejection to any return of Northern military units to Aden and to

the South in general and such move will be faced by the opposition of the will of the

Southern people.

2- The Elite Security Belt forces don't threaten the security but they establish it and they achieved   successes which the pro Yemeni government military units couldn't do , which means that targeting these southern forces is considered as undermining counter-terrorism  efforts and offering the terrorists  support.

3- The legitimate government should stop such provocative statements and giving the government a chance to review its performance doesn't mean accepting it’s provocations. Whoever wants to impose something it would be better to impose it on the coup in Sana'a and not in the South which is qualified enough for protecting  the gains of the Southern Hirak and Resistance .

4- Highly valued the distinctive roles of the Elite Security Belt forces in establishing security and fighting terror. They are always faithful to the dignity of the South and its people and to all the martyrs of the Southern Hirak and Resistance .
