A large popular mass women's rally was held today, Tuesday, at the sit-in square in Al-Dhale'a governorate, calling for the declaration of the State of South Arabia. The event reflected the scale of popular engagement and the national role of women throughout various stages of the struggle and demonstrated support and endorsement for recent Southern victories.
Participants in the rally, which was attended by several members of the Presidential Team, the local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Al-Dhale, the Women and Children Administration of the LLEB, representatives of the local authority, and local, educational, and women's figures, affirmed their commitment to continuing the sit-in protest until the goal of declaring the State of South Arabia is achieved.
In his speech during the event, Abdulraoof Al-Saqqaf, a member of the STC Presidium, stressed the importance of the national role undertaken by women of the South and praised their contributions to the struggle and their steadfast stances, considering the large female presence a clear message about women's awareness and their status as an essential partner in the national process, an endorsement of Southern victories, and a renewal of the pledge to continue forward towards the restoration of the state.
For his part, Brigadier General Abdullah Mahdi, Head of the LLEB in Al-Dhale'a, stated that the women of Al-Dhale'a have been and will remain present across various arenas and highlighted that their sacrifices and resilience represent a fundamental pillar in strengthening popular resolve and supporting just national causes, reiterating the demand to declare the State of South Arabia as an irreversible popular choice.
In turn, Ms. Jalila Ali, Director of the Women and Children Administration in the LLEB in Al-Dhale'a, delivered a speech expressing women's pride in their national role and reiterated that women of the South will remain at the forefront, supporting the demands of the sit-in and backing all steps that lead to the restoration of the state and the realisation of the aspirations of the people of the South.
The event featured several speeches from women's sector representatives, along with patriotic choral performances that carried clear political messages, addressing the international community, the Arab Coalition, and the United Nations, reaffirming the necessity of respecting the will and decisive choices of the people of the South and engaging seriously with their just cause.
The rally concluded with an appeal to President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to expedite the declaration of the State of South Arabia, considering it a national imperative that embodies the people's sterling will and translates the ultimate sacrifices they have made for their freedom and dignity.
