STC Al-Mahra Launches Food Basket Distribution for Vulnerable Families

The local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Al-Mahra Governorate launched, on Saturday, the distribution of food baskets provided by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, for vulnerable families in the governorate.

The process of distribution is being carried out according to a precise, well-organized mechanism and pre-prepared lists, under the direct supervision of organizing committees and field teams to ensure the aid reaches its well-deserved recipients with transparency and fairness.

The initial phase included the distribution of 3,000 food baskets designated for the districts of Al-Ghaydah, Haswayn, Shahin, Hawf, Haat, and Man'ar. Over the next two days, an additional 2,000 food baskets will be distributed in the western districts of Al-Mahra Governorate.

Dr. Salem Ali Al-Qumairi, a member of the STC Presidium, stated that this humanitarian initiative falls within the framework of the attention President Al-Zubaidi gives to poor and needy families and indicated that the STC places the humanitarian aspect at the forefront of its priorities and works to alleviate the suffering of citizens amid difficult living conditions.

For his part, Mr. Omar Ba'abad, Deputy Head of the STC's Executive Body in Al-Mahra, explained that the LLEB was keen to establish an organized and fair distribution mechanism to ensure the food baskets reach their eligible recipients across various districts and highly appreciated the support of the STC leadership for these initiatives, which reflect a spirit of national and social responsibility towards the people of Al-Mahra.

It is worth mentioning that this humanitarian initiative is part of a series of programs and initiatives implemented by the STC in Al-Mahra Governorate to strengthen the values of social solidarity and reaffirm its stance alongside citizens under all circumstances.
