Under Directives of President Al-Zubaidi: Al-Kathiri Conducts Inspection Visit of Seiyun Airport Readiness and Affirms Continued Security Efforts

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), conducted a field visit to Seiyun International Airport on Wednesday evening to assess the level of operational readiness and the workflow in the airport's key facilities, under the direct instructions of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC).

Mr. Al-Kathiri received a detailed briefing from the Airport General Director, Mr. Saeed Ali Bakathir, on air-traffic movement and the extent of damage sustained by some sections and confirmed that the damage was minor, noting that specialist teams had immediately begun technical repair procedures without delay.

The Chairman of the Assembly stressed the need to expedite the completion of the repair work and fully resume airport operations. He asserted that the Southern Armed Forces are responsible for securing the airport and its surroundings as part of wider efforts to cement stability and normalise public life in the Hadhramaut Valley.
