STC Delegation Gives Key Briefing to U.S. Congress

A delegation from the Southern Transitional Council (STC), led by Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, a member of the STC's Presidium, held a series of high-level meetings with members of both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives in Congress as part of an official visit to Washington, D.C.

The delegation delivered a comprehensive briefing outlining the latest developments in the South, highlighting several core messages and key political, economic, and security issues.

The delegation also met with representatives from international institutions, including the World Bank, to discuss ways to support development projects. Among the top priorities was the masterclass for electricity of the capital, Aden—a project backed by the World Bank and several donors and focused on the vital facilities that required funding and logistical support for critical public service initiatives.

These engagements are part of the STC’s broader efforts to strengthen international coordination and promote stability and development in the South amid growing international interest in the region’s evolving dynamics.
