The STC Secretary General Oversees Handover of Land Authority Headship

Mr. Abdulrahman Jalal Shaher Al-Subaihi, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Secretary General of the General Secretariat, oversaw on Thursday

the receiving and handing over event for the headship of the General Authority for Land, Survey, and Urban Planning to Eng. Mohammed Nasser Abadi Abdulqawi.

The event, held in the presence of Mr. Moamen Al-Saqqaf, member of the STC Presidium and head of the Transitional Council’s local leadership executive body (LLEB) in the capital, Aden, and Eng. Nazar Haitham, Deputy Secretary General, was conducted in compliance with the decree issued yesterday by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the STC President.

In a speech during the receiving and handing over, the Secretary General expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made in organizing the transfer process, affirming the Transitional Council’s support for Eng. Mohammed Nasser Abadi in leading the Authority in the coming phase to enhance institutional performance.

The Secretary General emphasized that the leadership of the Transitional Council attaches great importance to restructuring state institutions and bodies on professional and transparent foundations, noting that the coming phase will witness developments in work mechanisms and the modernization of plans and programs to enhance the Authority’s role in regulating land affairs.

Mr. Momen Al-Saqqaf also noted that the decree of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi comes within the framework of enhancing institutional performance and activating the role of service bodies to positively reflect on citizens' lives, affirming the Council’s leadership’s support for the Authority in carrying out its tasks.

For his part, Eng. Mohammed Abadi expressed his gratitude to President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi for granting him this trust, affirming his commitment to working in a team spirit to raise the level of performance and achieve the aspirations of the leadership and society.

The handover process was attended by the staff of the General Authority for Land, who in turn affirmed their readiness to cooperate with the new headship and implement its directives to ensure the continuity of institutional work and the achievement of planned goals in the coming phase.
