STC Secretariat Calls on People of the South to Actively Participate in Commemorating 61st Anniversary of Glorious October Revolution

 

The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) has called on the people of the South to actively participate in commemorating the 61st anniversary of the glorious 14th of October Revolution through the major event that will be held tomorrow in the city of Seiyun in Hadhramaut Governorate, followed by other celebrative events in the capital Aden and the rest of the governorates of the South.

In this regard, the General Secretariat reviewed, during its meeting held today, Sunday, in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Haidara al-Shaqqi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Secretariat, the latest preparations made by the Supreme Committee for National Celebrations and local leadership executive bodies (LLEBs) in the governorates of the South in preparation for holding events on this occasion.

The meeting discussed a report on the political scene in the Southern national arena for the first half of October 2024, which dealt with the latest developments in Hadramaut Governorate and the role of the STC in fulfilling the demands of the people of the governorate.

The meeting reviewed the developments taking place in the governorates of the South, including efforts to spread moderate religious discourse among members of society and the role of mosque preachers in raising awareness against extremist ideologies.

At the end of its meeting, the Secretariat touched on the weekly activity report of all its departments and the implemented activities during the aforementioned period in various areas of their jurisdictions, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
