STC Council of Advisors Studies Political Landscape and President Al-Zubaidi's Visit to the USA


The Administrative Body of the Council of Advisors (CoA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting in September 2024 in the capital, Aden, on Tuesday, chaired by Mr. Ahmad al-Rabizi, Deputy Chairman of the CoA.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Al-Rabizi highlighted the significance of President Al-Zubaidi's participation in the UN General Assembly (UNGA79), lauding his excellency's prominent role in advancing the cause of the people of the South through his political engagements and meetings with decision-makers to bring the cause of the South to international and regional forums.

Furthermore, the administrative body discussed the latest political landscape report submitted by the political committee regarding the successful visit of President Al-Zubaidi to the United States and his participation in UNGA79, highlighting the significance of this visit in strengthening international recognition of the cause of the South on the international stage, expanding international diplomatic ties with decision-makers, and bringing key issues such as the economy and the Houthi escalation in the Red Sea to the forefront of global attention.

The meeting reviewed the report on the work activity of the Advisory Committee for mediating and resolving feud cases during half of the year 2024, which included multiple meetings in the governorates of the South with sheikhs, dignitaries, and notables who have contributed to extinguishing the tensions between society, discussing a range of topics and proposals included in its agenda, and taking a number of appropriate measures in this regard.
