Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, lauded today, Tuesday, the role of the Skills Development Fund (SDF), its Board of Directors (BoD), and the training and rehabilitation programs it implements throughout the governorates of the South.
This came during a meeting today, Tuesday, with the BoD of the SDF, headed by Mr. Essam Qassem Mohammed, Director of the Fund’s BoD.
During the meeting attended by Dr. Jakleen Al-Batani, Head of the Social Affairs and Civil Society Organizations Committee of the National Assembly, Mr. Al-Kathiri emphasized the critical role of training and development programs in empowering youth to contribute to the renaissance and growth of the homeland and achieving sustainable development.
Mr. Al-Kathiri was briefed on the Fund's ongoing activities and training programs across the governorates of the South, as well as the challenges faced in its workflow. The Fund's BoD provided a comprehensive overview of future projects aimed at expanding the scope of the SDF and diversifying its programs to meet the growing demands of the labor market.
Al-Kathiri reaffirmed the STC's leadership, led by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, commitment to providing the required support to ensure the Fund's sustainability and its ability to develop the skills and competencies of young people.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Saleh Mohammed Hassan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, Dr. Abdullah Dagham Mohammed, Executive Director General of the SDF, and Mr. Mutlaq Hassan Al-Mukar, Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
