Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Tuesday, with Eng. Muein Al-Mas, Director-General of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund (RBMF), in Aden-Headquarters.
Mr. Al-Kathiri was briefed by Eng. Al-Mas about the progress of work in the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, particularly its endeavors to rehabilitate and maintain the road network within the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates.
During the meeting attended by Dr. Al-Khader Al-Saeedi, a member of the STC's Presidium, Al-Kathiri listened to Eng. Al-Mas, who gave an explanation of the numerous projects being implemented so far by the fund across the governorates of the South, the nature of the operation of truck weighbridges, the challenges facing the fund's management, and the means to address them.
The acting president of the STC urged the fund's board of directors to step up efforts to rehabilitate and maintain the road network in the most needy governorates, with a particular focus on Abyan, which is considered a lifeline for citizens.
For his part, Eng. Al-Mas expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the keen interest shown by the leadership of the STC and for its continued monitoring of the fund's administration, lauding the STC's efforts in easing the obstacles facing the fund's workflow.
