The STC Secretariat Discusses Political Landscape Report on the Southern National Scene


The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its routine weekly meeting today, Sunday, at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Haidara al-Shaqqi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Secretariat.

The meeting discussed a report on the political landscape in the South for the first half of August, with a focus on key topics including the events unfolding in Hadramaut Governorate, where the Secretariat reaffirmed the rights of the people of Hadramaut to manage their civil and security affairs in the governorate and their demands to transfer Yemeni military forces from the Valley of Hadramaut.

The meeting also reviewed the two financial and administrative reports presented by the financial and administrative department on the financial status of implemented and unimplemented activities and initiatives of the Secretariat's departments, local leadership executive bodies (LLEBs) in the governorates, and university coordination bodies. It also assessed the level of staff work discipline during the past week of August.

Furthermore, the General Secretariat reviewed and approved its previous minutes, taking into account the raised remarks, in addition to a weekly activity report of its departments.
