Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Tuesday with Mr. Saleh Masoud Al-Amir, Chairman of the Agricultural Cooperative Unions of the South.
During the meeting, which included Mr. Fadhl Al-Kahali, head of the Union’s branch in the capital, Aden, Mr. Al-Kathiri listened to a comprehensive explanation of the Union’s work progress and the efforts it is making to achieve food security and sustainable development in line with the directives of the leadership of the STC, led by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Kathiri was briefed on the Union's current operational plan and its strategic initiatives aimed at adapting to the rapid shift in the economic landscape and dire economic situation that the country is experiencing.
Al-Kathiri expressed appreciation for the union's efforts to improve its work and programs despite limited resources. He reaffirmed the STC's commitment to supporting the union's activities, enabling it to overcome current challenges and establish sustainable economic projects that ensure maximum food security for citizens.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah Ahmed Hassan, advisor to the Union, Ibtisam Mohammad Hammoud, Umnia Adeeb from the Women’s Section in the Union, and Antar Mohammad Qayid, official of public relations in the Union.
