The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) has called...
Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), acting president of the STC, chaired on Sunday an important meeting of military and security commanders in the presence of a number of members of the STC's Presidium.
Mr. Al-Kathiri listened to a comprehensive explanation about the security situation in the capital, Aden, the security measures implemented to maintain the state of security, stability, and public tranquility, and the latest findings of the security services in the search and follow-up operations to track down and prosecute the accused in the kidnapping of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashaal Al-Jaadani, and collecting evidence for everything related to the case.
During the meeting, Major General Mutahar Ali Naji, Director of Security of the Capital, Aden, gave a briefing of the security operation carried out by the security services in Al-Mimdara area of Sheikh Othman District, which resulted in the apprehension of 12 suspects wanted in direct connection with the kidnapping.
The Acting President of the STC highly appreciated the extensive efforts exerted by security services and military units to uncover the perpetrators and accomplices involved in the recent incident. He emphasized the need to determine the causes and motives behind the incident, inform the public of the findings, and outline the measures taken by the security services in response, thereby missing the opportunity for anyone who tries to ill-intentionally shuffle cards and spreading misinformation about what the security services are dedicatedly performing in this regard.
In this context, Al-Kathiri highlighted the importance of coordinating security operations among the security directorates in the capital, Aden, and the governorates of Abyan and Lahj, urged the pursuit of the main suspects wherever they may be, and the formulation of recommendations to be submitted to President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) for any required directives, emphasizing that there will be no immunity for anyone proven to be involved in any kidnappings, extrajudicial killings, or acts of looting and banditry.
The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations and decisions aimed at nipping discord in the bud and bolstering the efforts of the security services in the capital, Aden, to apprehend all wanted individuals, criminal cells, and terrorist groups.
The meeting was attended by members of the STC's Presidium, including Major General Kamal Hamshari, Acting Secretary-General, Dr. Khader al-Saeedi, Mr. Abdul Nasser al-Jafari, and Mr. Fadi Baoum, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Advisors, Mr. Ahmed Al-Rabizi, Head of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the STC in Abyan Governorate, Mr. Hassan Ghaithan, Head of the National Assembly Bloc in Abyan, Mr. Khalid al-Abd, and Mr. Mohammed al-Shaqi, member of the National Assembly.
