Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Monday, in Almukalla district, Hadramaut governorate, with Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Mohammed Al-Da'eri to discuss the recent military developments on the battle fronts.
The meeting reviewed the current situation on the battle fronts and the valor of the heroes of the armed forces in repelling the attacks of the Houthi terrorist militias, with the aim of maintaining the security and stability of the liberated governorates. Moreover, the meeting focused on the efforts made by the Ministry of Defense to raise the efficiency of its personnel, which will achieve further progress on the battle fronts against the Houthi militias.
The meeting also touched on the activities of the celebration of the eighth anniversary of the liberation of the city of Almukalla and the Hadramaut Coast from the AQAP terrorist organization on April 24, 2016. The celebrations this year witnessed remarkable diversity, including joint military and security exercises between the Hadrami Elite Forces (HEF) and public security, in addition to the ongoing preparations to organize a military parade and a speech, artistic, and honorary ceremony.
Al-Bahsani affirmed the council's keenness to provide the necessary support to the Ministry of Defense to ensure the success of its tasks and efforts in facing terrorist challenges threatening security and to enable it to properly carry out its national duties and tasks.
