STC Secretariat Surveys Political Landscape and Work Discipline

The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Wednesday in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC's Presidium and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat.

The meeting reviewed a report on the political scene in the South during the first half of February of this year 2024, submitted by the Political Department, which included a range of issues, with a focus on the repercussions of appointing a prime minister and field events in Abyan Governorate.

The Secretariat stressed the importance of the government sparing no effort to address all economic, service, and living issues that burden citizens and negatively impact their daily lives and to develop solutions and visions to resolve these issues.

During its meeting, the Secretariat commended the role of the people of Abyan Governorate in general and the Modiyah District in particular during the battles that our southern armed forces have been fighting against terrorist groups in the district, which culminated in major victories through which our armed forces took control of the Wadi Matar camp, within a strategic plan that works to maintain the security and stability of all the South.

The meeting discussed the work discipline report submitted by the Department of Administrative and Finance Affairs, which focused on the level of attendance and absence of the Secretariat staff during January.

The meeting also touched on a report on the achievements of the activities of the departments of the Secretariat during the past week, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting after taking into account the raised remarks.
