Secretary-General Holds Meeting with Head and Members of LLEB in Socotra

Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC's Presidium and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat, held a meeting ،on Tuesday with Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Head of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) and governor of Socotra Governorate, and members of the LLEB in the governorate.

In the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Fadhl Al-Gaadi delivered a speech in which he conveyed to the attendees the greetings of President Aidarous Al-Zoubaidi, President of the STC, highlighting that President Al-Zubaidi’s permanent directives are to work to achieve stability, boost the level of public services, and alleviate the suffering of citizens in the South in general.

In his speech, Mr. Al-Gaadi referred to his previous visit to the island, the results of which were discussed with the STC's Presidium, and the advanced steps through which they were implemented, affirming the keenness of the Presidium to support Socotra as a successful model for the STC and the cause of the South.

For his part, Mr. Al-Thaqali thanked the tireless efforts exerted by the Secretary-General in various aspects and the continuous work to address and mobilize all potentials to alleviate the suffering of the island and its people.

Al-Thaqali pointed out the importance of the visit of the team of the General Secretariat, led by the Secretary-General, to review and address all the difficulties and challenges facing the workflow of the LLEB and the local authority in the governorate, expressing the happiness of the people of the governorate with the participation of the Secretary-General and the accompanying delegation in celebrating the 56th anniversary of National Independence Day on November 30. 

The meeting, which was attended by Mr. Rayed Al-Jaribi, undersecretary of Socotra Governorate, and members of the National Assembly from the governorate, discussed the overall conditions in the governorate and the conditions of citizens in the daily living and service aspects, and the needs required to be provided, as per the priorities and available capabilities, as well as the requirements of the LLEB of the Council, the Governorate of the Socotra Archipelago, to positively deal with the existing challenges.
