Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Thursday in his office in the capital, Aden, with the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Suleiman Al-Shammasi, the Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mr. Talal Saleh bin Haidara.
In the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Al-Kathiri welcomed Minister Al-Shamasi, Governor Bin Madi, and their companions and was briefed by the Minister of Oil on the workflow in the ministry and its branches in the governorates and its efforts to improve the quality of work and raise the capabilities of the human resources in various oil institutions and sectors.
Furthermore, the Acting President of the STC was informed by the Governor of Hadhramaut of the overall situation in Hadhramaut Governorate, which the local authority is making to meet the needs of the governorate and to advance a number of service files and development projects that touch the lives of citizens.
Al-Kathiri affirmed the support of the STC for the Ministry of Oil to facilitate its work tasks, the continuation of the work of the oil company sectors in Hadramaut and Shabwa, and the intensive work with the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and the government to re-export oil after the Houthi militia attacks on oil facilities that harmed the national economy.
Al-Kathiri praised the role of the local authority of Hadramaut and its efforts in maintaining stability in the governorate and working at a high pace in the construction and development process, stressing the support of the STC for the leadership of the governorate to empower its people to manage all its affairs, enhance stability, and address all service and development issues.
