President Al-Zoubaidi Chairs Expanded Meeting with Military and Security Commanders

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired on Monday an expanded meeting with southern military and security commanders.

In the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Brigadier General Bashir Al-Subaihi, Commander of the Nation Shield Force (NSF), President Al-Zoubaidi welcomed the military and security commanders present, commending their great efforts, ultimate sacrifices, and exemplary heroism undertaken by commanders and personnel of the valiant armed and security forces in defending the entirety of the southern homeland and maintaining its security and stability.

The president gave a briefing to the attendees on the latest developments in the political aspect, the developments related to the political process, its expected stages, the pivotal role of the cause of the people of the South therein, and the military and security arrangements that may ensue.

The leader-president stressed the importance of maintaining high readiness and vigilance, raising the level of coordination between military and security units in carrying out assigned tasks, and maintaining steadfastness on the ground to preserve the gains that have been achieved for the people of the South and their cause.

 The President addressed the attendees, saying: “You are the safety valve of the cause of the people of the South, their security and stability, and your steadfastness on the ground has consistently given politicians of the South the ability to put forward the cause of our people with full force in regional and international forums.”

In addition to that, the president asserted that the training and qualification process for all officers and personnel of the military and security units, both commanders and individuals, is devotedly ongoing and will definitely continue, ensuring the building of a solid military and security institution on a national and scientific basis that keeps pace with the rapid developments taking place in the region and the world and is capable of protecting our people with all efficiency in various stages and under all circumstances.

At the end of his speech, President Al-Zoubaidi welcomed the presence of Brigadier General Bashir al-Subaihi, which is considered a reflection of the great keenness of the command of the NSF to coordinate and integrate efforts in various combat fronts and military sites and to join hands on the home front.

After that, the president was briefed by the commanders of the axes, military brigades, and security units about the military situation on the combat fronts with the Houthi militias and the security efforts in the governorates, as well as ways that can contribute to maintaining and strengthening security levels.

The meeting also reviewed what was implemented of the training programs during the current year, 2023, in the operational, training, and moral aspects, discussed the plan for the training year 2024, and took the appropriate measures to fulfil the goals and guarantee the high readiness of the combat forces to accomplish their national assigned tasks.
