President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received at his office on Saturday morning the Libyan Ambassador to Yemen, Mr. Ahmed Idris Abu Bakr.
The meeting reviewed the distinguished relations between the country and the brotherly Republic of Libya, in addition to enhancing communication and relations in various fields and working as per commonalities to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.
In the meeting, President Al-Zoubaidi expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to both the government and people of Libya for the victims of the hurricane that struck its eastern region, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured and aid for the families afflicted by the hurricane.
President Al-Zoubaidi valued the efforts exerted by his excellency to strengthen relations between the country and brotherly Libya, highlighting the keenness of the PLC to activate bilateral cooperation programs between the two countries in various development and humanitarian fields.
For his part, the Libyan ambassador expressed the position of his government in support of the PLC and its keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various vital sectors to achieve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, Director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the STC.
