Al-Muharrami Reassures on Situation in the Archipelago and Impact of Cyclonic Tej

The Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), and Commander of the Southern Giants Brigades, Mr. Abdul Rahman Abu Zaraa Al-Muharrami, made a phone call to the Governor of the Socotra Archipelago, Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, to get briefed on the conditions in the governorate as a result of the effects of severe cyclonic storm Tej.

Mr. Al-Muharrami listened to the Governor of Socotra, who gave an explanation of the nature of the situation in the governorate and the impact of the cyclonic storm Tej on public and private property in various areas of the governorate.

Al-Muharrami was also briefed on the efforts exerted by the local authority, led by Governor Al-Thaqali, to overcome the repercussions of the severe cyclonic storm Tej that struck the governorate and gave directives to the local authority to set an inventory of private and public damages left by the cyclonic storm and submit them to the concerned authorities.

Representative Al-Muharrami stressed the urgent need for all state institutions to assume the responsibility to confront the repercussions of the cyclonic storm Tej, provide full support to the citizens and those affected, and avail them of all the necessary needs to urgently alleviate their suffering.

For his part, the Governor of Socotra, Mr. Raafat Al-Thaqali, expressed his thanks to the Vice President of the STC and Vice Chairman of the PLC, Al-Muharrami, for the interest he shows towards the governorate and its people and the support they provide in the political leadership for all their efforts to confront the effects of cyclonic Tej, as well as supporting the local authority in this aspect.
