The administrative body of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its meeting on Tuesday for the month of October 2023, chaired by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the STC and Chairman of the National Assembly.
In the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Abdul-Nasser Al-Wali, Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Head of the STC's Ministers Bloc in the power-sharing government, and Mr. Saeed Saadan, Head of the Institutional Development Commission, all the attendees stood for a mourning minute to read Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs of the South and the martyrs of occupied Palestine.
The administrative body listened to a briefing by Dr. Al-Wali on the role of the ministers of the STC within the framework of the power-sharing government in improving economic and service conditions, in addition to a number of clarifications on the queries of the members of the body in this aspect.
Likewise, the body stressed the importance of improving the work and performance of ministries within the government to put an end to the suffering of the people of the South in various aspects and stop the deterioration that is worsening day by day, noting that the partnership in the government should positively reflect on the lives of our people.
Furthermore, the body affirmed that the STC will not stand idly against the attempts to break the determination and will of the people of the South to dissuade them from achieving their aspirations to restore their state or allow the continued state of stagnation in the work of state institutions and their failure to perform their duties.
Similarly, the body warned the hostile forces standing against the will of the people of the South of the consequences of serving and incorporating in certain border areas with the Houthi militias to target the territories of the South, calling on those forces and Houthi militias alike to leap out of their dreams and be well aware of the lesson that our people taught them during the valiant resistance since the war of 1994 and through the invasion of 2015.
In another context, the administrative body discussed the internal work mechanisms and communication between the auxiliary bodies and commissions of the STC's Presidium and the rest of the bodies in light of the new restructuring process in the STC and the by-laws regulating the work of the various commissions, highlighting the necessity of adhering to these regulations and by-laws and the keenness to develop institutional work and coordination between the STC’s bodies to ensure the integration of work and the achievement of set goals.
