At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Al-Jaadi conveyed the greetings of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), to all the female attendees, welcoming them all, indicating during his speech that organizing such meetings comes due to the importance of the role of women in society, reflecting their partnership with men in developing and building the South, and lauding the prominent role of Socotra women and the many achievements and victories they have been fulfilling, including their rejection of the rule of the Brotherhood militias in the governorate.
Al-Jaadi highlighted that the political leadership of the STC is doing its best to empower women in various aspects, support their right to education and work, and provide all facilities in a way that serves their homeland in many different political, social, and leadership fields, affirming that the South is for and by all its people, both women and men.
The team listened to certain interventions from the female attendees, which included opinions and suggestions on general topics and issues, reviewing the need for Socotra women in particular to be represented and positively participate in various appropriate aspects.
