The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Wednesday in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC's Presidium and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat.

The meeting discussed the report of the economic landscape on the southern national scene submitted by the Economic and Service Department, which highlights the maintenance and re-operation of the Aden refinery, which constitutes a fundamental pillar in improving the economic situation and stabilizing the local currency, and the rising cost of fish prices in the liberated governorates of the South compared to the governorates of the North under the dominance and control of the Houthis.

The meeting stood before a range of developments taking place in the governorates of the South, with a focus on the announcement of a strike in all schools and universities while the government closed its eyes to their demands to improve their standard of living.
