Al-Haj Meets with Southern Accord and Communication Authority

The Director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Head of the Internal Southern National Dialogue Team (ISNDT), Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, met on Wednesday in his office in the capital, Aden, with the Head and members of the Southern Accord and Communication Authority (SACA).

Dr. Al-Haj welcomed the meeting with the headship of SACA, pointing out that the ISNDT was inspired during its mission by all the visions and efforts made in the previous southern dialogue stations and the experiences of coordination between the various struggling southern components.

While touching on developments in the international and regional political situation, Dr. Al-Haj asserted the pursuit of dialogue and communication with all southern national spectrums to strengthen internal unity and confront external challenges.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Haj announced the existence of a proposal to establish a southern commission concerned with dialogue and work to consolidate it as a cultural, human, and civilized value in education, media, and all aspects of human, social, and political life in the South.

For his part, the head of SACA, Mr. Saeed Al-Yahri, praised the efforts of the Southern National Dialogue Team and the great success that has been achieved in the Southern Consultative Meeting, as well as the importance of implementing the outcomes of that meeting on the ground, focusing on the Southern National Charter and the way to manage the current stage and its requirements.

As Al-Yahri was giving an overview of SACA and its vision for contributing to the unity of the southern national effort, he highlighted the unifying of the position on the principles and goals of the southern revolution, well-chosen tracks of partnership and development, and the importance of working to fortify the internal front through the cohesiveness of the southern social fabric.
