The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) asserts its support for the people of the South and their rights to peaceful protests against the starvation policy ill-intentionally practiced by the government and the way it aggravates managing crises in the economic file through the war of services.
It took place during its periodic meeting held today, Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, and chaired by Mr. Fadhl Al-Gaadi, member of the Presidium of the STC and Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat, which dealt with the most important developments in the situation in the South, focusing on the service file and its negative impact on citizens.
During its meeting, the secretariat warned the government of the effects of its failed policy in managing various economic and service crises, the most important of which is electricity, water, and paying regular salaries to public sector employees.
The secretariat called on the government to assume its legal and moral responsibility towards the suffering of citizens and not to create crises in light of the military confrontations led by the southern armed forces on various fronts fighting against the Houthi militia and terrorist groups.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed the semi-annual evaluation report of the year 2023 on the performance of departments of the Secretariat and the local leadership executive bodies (LLEB) of the STC in the governorates, which included the overall activities and works that were accomplished in various fields during the aforementioned period.
Similarly, the Secretariat lauded the performance of the LLEB of the STC in Abyan governorate, the level of its implementation of activities and initiatives as per the plan, and gave examples of exceptional work in the governorate.
The meeting reviewed the weekly activity report of the departments of the Secretariat, including the work they carried out during this week in their various jurisdictions, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
