Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), praised on Sunday the role of Hadramout tribes in all the turns that the governorate had previously gone through and their unified position on whatever relates to the peace and safety of the governorate and the efforts to avoid any conflicts.
During his meeting in the city of Al-Mukalla with several tribal leaders, dignitaries, and social figures from the East of Hadramaut governorate, Major General Al-Bahsani drew attention to the future role of the tribes of the governorate and the national stances taken towards national political changes, applauding their honorable stances and ultimate sacrifices.
Major General Al-Bahsani pointed out that the tribes represent a heavy weight and a force in influencing political, economic, security, and social decisions, and that this meeting comes within the framework of giving attention to this most important segment and within the series of meetings with the political, tribal, and civil components.
Al-Bahsani called for standing with the Hadrami Elite Forces and supporting them, as they are the role model for regular military construction, which includes the people of Hadramout and its tribes, to spare them any threats or intrigues that seek their undermining, urging them to raise vigilance and attention, for all citizens to feel the responsibility of the security aspect and strengthen it, and for the reserve force to be ready and prepared for any tasks to defend Hadhramaut, both land and people.
In the political matter, Al-Bahsani reviewed developments in the political situation, the importance of coordinating between all components in Hadhramout, defining their positions on national issues, and upcoming entitlements, with the need for some parties to make concessions to reach national consensus, reiterating his keenness and interest in this aspect of concerted efforts through the use of the language of dialogue, identifying, drawing, and agreeing on common goals.
At the end of the meeting, the attendees discussed, through their interventions, the poor living conditions caused by the economic crisis in the country and the most prominent issues in the services file, especially the electricity file, renewing their support for the Vice President of the PLC, Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, as the representative of Hadramout in the PLC. In this regard, they emphasized preserving the cohesiveness and rapprochement of the tribes and rejecting violence or conflict.
