Major General Bin Brik Asserts Readiness of STC's Leadership for Whatever Poses a Threat to the South

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Thursday, with a number of military commanders in Abyan Governorate.

In the meeting, they discussed the political and military situation in general, as Major General Bin Brik was briefed on the military arrangements that the enemy is carrying out with the aim of attacking the South and the role of the southern armed forces stationed on the fronts to confront those failed attempts and ward off threats from the governorates of the South, as well as the progress of strengthening the southern military and security forces on the fronts.

In the meeting, which was attended by Hussein Ali Al-Qafi, head of the local leadership executive body of Lowdar district, Major General Bin Brik stressed the importance of unifying the southern ranks, praising the ultimate sacrifices made by our valiant southern forces, especially on the confronting frontlines, in order to protect the South and the great achievements fulfilled by the leadership of the STC in the previous period of the negotiation process.

Major General Bin Brik emphasized that the leadership of the STC is fully prepared for any pressing need that requires action that may occur and pose a threat to the South or a change to the fundamentals for which the people of the South have ultimately been sacrificing their precious souls.

The meeting was attended by Taha Hussein al-Bubaki, commander of the Thurah border front, Mukairas/Lawdar, Salem Alawi al-Barakani, officer in charge of operations of the Thurah front, Mohammad Adnan al-Shaqa`, commander of the security belt sector of the Lawdar district, Dahmas Mohammad Dahmis, security belt moral guidance, Lawdar sector, and Imad al-Khader Saeed, office head of the Security Belt Commander.
