Mr. Lutfi Shatara, the head of the Research and Decision Support Center (RDSC) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and deputy chairman of the National Assembly, discussed today, Wednesday, in his office in the capital, Aden, with the Resident Senior Director of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Yemen, Ms. Kenza Aqertit, ways to develop cooperation with the Institute.
While Mr. Shatara praised the role of NDI in the region and around the world, he highlighted the aspiration of the STC to boost cooperation with the institute in the fields of research and studies, like conducting research seminars and workshops and practically translating on the ground, in addition to exchanging experience and conveying the message of the just cause of the South to the world and decision-making countries to achieve the legitimate aspirations of the people of the South.
In her turn, Ms. Aqertit gave an overview of the activities of the NDI and affirmed the interest of the NDI in boosting cooperation with the STC in the fields of research and enhancing spaces for dialogue and discussion on political and social issues in a way that serves the promotion of peace and freedom in the South and the world.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Suhair Ali Ahmed, head of the Woman's Commission in the STC, and Dr. Hussam Al-Jadani, the NDI Program Officer in the capital, Aden.
