The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) organized today, Thursday, in the capital, Aden, in coordination with the Committee of Restructuring and Upgrading By-Laws of the STC, an awareness-raising workshop on the "organizational structure of the STC and its updated by-laws" under the generous patronage of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.
Mr. Fadhl Mohammad Al-Gaadi, member of the STC's Presidium, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat, gave a speech at the beginning of the workshop, which was attended by the heads of the various departments and bodies of the STC, through which he expressed the aspirations of the STC to start this phase of modernization and upgrading of the STC's structures, stressing the importance of benefiting from the previous phase and doubling efforts to practise institutional work in a way that serves the South and its just cause.
Mr. Al-Gaadi touched on the objectives of the workshop in comprehending and assimilating the content of the STC’s by-laws and regulations, highlighting the implementation and work as stated therein, and intensifying practical efforts in the spirit of a team in strengthening southern cohesiveness and fulfilling legitimate goals and aspirations according to the will of the people of the South.
Mr. Mohsen Obaid, Rapporteur of the STC’s Presidium, Head of the Restructuring Committee, gave a brief explanation of the work of the committee and what it had done in the institutional work in addition to the organizational structures, regulations, and fundamentals of the STC, explaining the concepts of the basic by-laws of the various bodies and pointing to the upcoming workshops to explain the by-laws to the local bodies in the governorates of the South.
The workshop reviewed the content of the by-laws and regulations and included chapters on the tasks, responsibilities, merits, specializations, competencies, laws, and general terms for the various and recently created commissions, authorities, and bodies of the STC, including work mechanisms, principles, guidelines, ground rules, and regulations in the institutional work of the STC.
