The deputy head of the Internal Southern National Dialogue Team (ISNDT), Mr. Abdul-Salam Qassem Mussaed, met on Wednesday, with the UN envoy's office head, Mr. Edward Jackson, in his office in the capital, Aden.
During the meeting, Mr. Mussaed reviewed the phases of the workflow of the SNDT, the goals and outcomes that were agreed upon, and the formulation of the Southern National Charter and its signing by the participants.
Mr. Mussaed affirmed that the participating southern political components unanimously agreed on restoring the state of the South with a democratic federal system, and adopting dialogue as a civilized approach to converging political perspectives and establishing peace.
In turn, the head of the UN envoy's office expressed his congratulations on the success of the southern consultative meeting, praising the efforts of the dialogue team, and calling it "big and positive."
The meeting was attended by Dr. Jacqueline Al-Batani, a member of the ISNDT, and Ms. Hadeel Samir, the Political Affairs Officer in the office of the UN envoy.
